Review on Versatile FAMKIT Spring Clamps for Efficient Woodworking Projects by Mark Hanson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I'm a little overwhelmed

These spring clips are fine. Obviously not good quality. But they do their job. I've added some closeups so you can see the build quality. The metal is really thin, like it could bend under moderate stress. The spring has amazing tension even though there are only 3 turns on the shaft. Even the little ones have pretty good holding power. The grip feels solid and is up to the task. The tips and handles have been dipped in a red, rubbery substance. So they don't come loose like clip-on clamps. The problem is that the coating is very thin. As a result, it wears out in a very short time, especially on the tips that come into contact with the workpiece. It is very grippy and comfortable on the handles. I like 3 different sizes. I use the little ones in the kitchen as clips for chips. Larger sizes are used in my workshop. There are never enough clips in the store. But I have other better quality spring clips that I always use first. Thus, they can be put to other uses such as camping and other household items such as a properly sealed bag of dog food. In general, these are "good" clips. Probably more suitable for different things. Household purposes, as opposed to the heaviness of the workshop. Also, I've seen other similar kits with more parts at a lower price. So for a new product the price is not too aggressive either. I hope you found this information useful.
