After sending back the previously opened and broken module, Revain tried to force it on me, everything got better. generally long. The fasteners included in the kit are strong and well withstand the pulling action of lowering and raising the lampshade. The lampshade, however, is a different story. The edges are roughly trimmed so they break a little. And the fabric on the roller is NOT PERFECTLY centered so there is more space between the shadow and the edges of the window on one side than the other. As my husband says, "You won't notice it on a galloping mule," so we're keeping it. In this application I don't need absolute perfection. However, if you're looking for absolute perfection, I recommend buying the higher quality (more expensive) option. When ready, they are very easy to use. And they block out direct sunlight VERY well without affecting the brightness in the room. Direct sunlight hits my early morning coffee chair and lowers the temperature there by a good 15 degrees without darkening the room. Revane hell. You know better. I wrote "BROKEN - DO NOT REFILL, DO NOT SELL" in permanent marker all over the box before sending it back so hopefully you don't get it. I hope this helps you make the right decision.
