I had a lumbar fusion in my lower back and needed something stable by the bed to help me get up and lie down. My bed is 30 inches from floor to top of mattress. My son made me a little platform to stand on so I don't find it so difficult to sit on the bed. These splints were the perfect solution. The height of the rail is approximately 7 inches from the top of the mattress to the top of the rail. The legs are adjustable so my husband was able to adjust one leg to sit on the platform. Because there are rails between the springs and the mattress, the rail is extra stable and stays in place. I highly recommend this product.
