These markers bled a lot less than the other brands we've used before. I haven't noticed any bleeding during use. Another person at our party tried using a color over another color or right on the side (to highlight/highlight a bit) and it caused very little bleeding as the material was already saturated with the previous color. If you want to use multiple colors exactly next to or on top of each other I would suggest applying a primer, letting that dry for 24 hours and then trying to apply a second coat of colour. This is just a suggestion as I haven't tried it yet. I liked that the coloring instructions are on the back of the box. Also inside was a small piece of fabric (approx 6"x 6") with a rose and the brand name in large print so I could test all the colors and see how they looked without wasting a drop. my own fabric as a pattern. I would advise anyone to do this as the purple color seemed too dark to me when I first applied it, but I found that after a few minutes it lightened a bit as it dried slightly. Not every color seemed to do this, but was positive with purple as it comes out of the marker very dark. Broad and narrow tips came in very handy. Children from 4 years old used them with us and the mess was minimal (small stain of paint on the fingers). We placed paper bags between the fabric layers of the overalls we decorated and covered the table with cardboard as a precaution.
