If you don't like the volume control on the Shield you should seriously give this remote a chance. It has a regular volume control unlike the slider on the Shield as well as a defined mute button. It has a good air mouse for those occasions when you need one and the microphone is the best I've run across so far. The only negative, and it's a minor one, is holding the back button doesn't open settings. But, you can just say 'settings' into the mike, and there you are. The price is good and the shipping time (2 days) is much less than ordering directly from China like you have to do for many remotes.
