Perfect for a beach house like ours as it has no metal. That was 100% the reason for it. We won't be using ours as a mailbox, but we must have a mailbox. We use a PO Box. It doesn't stick to the wall which is the only downside for me. I highly recommend the Salt Air Beach House but probably wouldn't recommend it any other way. Very thin, lid "clicks" when opening and closing. But great for salty air! Maybe it's good for vacation rentals or somewhere you don't use it often but don't want it to rust. true white.
