I liked the metal case and the sufficient venting for cooling. Remote is like a standard remote. I thought this came with the USB to AC adapter (not included). Didn't try it, but not sure there is enough power from my Fios set top box USB. Luckily I had an extra adapter from an old Samsung phone.I did read the complaints that the Power LED was bright, but my old Impact switcher (now replaced) had a bright power LED, but this one is blinding. Unless I decide to return this, I am going to do the electrical tape trick when I get around to it. Outside of that, so far so good.UPDATE:I couldn't take the bright power LED, so I did the electrical tape trick and it is much better. I would suggest this only at your own risk as it probably voids the warranty if something collateral happens to the unit. But I decided to take the risk since it's basically the only negative point and not enough to bother returning the unit.
