This salt & pepper shaker is perfect for both the kitchen and dining table with a choice of different sized holes. Between two different sized pouring holes (large and small), this will be sufficient for most dining table users. The fully open slot comes in handy when you need to add a large amount of salt/pepper to a dish during cooking instead of sprinkling it for a long time. It is positive that the lid can be closed completely. The construction is solid enough and the combination of glass and brushed stainless steel looks good. The lid rotates smoothly as you choose between the required fill holes and fits snugly enough not to come loose during use. Salt/pepper corns (especially small ones) often get stuck under the lid, but this doesn't seem to cause any functional problems. For the price, this shaker is expensive, especially since it doesn't necessarily feel premium. as indicated in the description.
