Review on Wander In Style With The A6 Refillable Leather Travel Journal - Perfect For Writers And Travelers! by Rhonda Hughes

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I may have gotten a dud.

I have quite a few leather journals, of varying sizes, from various companies to meet different needs. One I've been looking for, for quite a while is one that can hold a standard A5 journal. I found it with the Wanderings A5 refillable journal. The elastic bands are quite strong and substantial. That's about where I have to stop with the praise. The craftsmanship and raw material seems quite off. The leather is wrinkly, like maybe this journal was made from a piece of scrap or selvage leather. The edges are not cut well, in that they are messy and wavy. On the inside of the cover there is some sort of what appears to be cloth lining which makes me wonder if this is actually leather or not. The closure strap of leather attached to the elastic band also appears to be a scrap piece of leather.I read quite a few reviews about this cover before I purchased it, and I don't believe that this is typical of their products, But I can only report my experience. I'm glad it is big enough to hold the A5 journal I was hoping it would, but the quality of materials used to make this particular journal have me thinking I might still be looking. I haven't quite made up my mind if I'm just going to try and make this one work or search for something better yet.
