Spend the extra to get a better plug. For a plug targeting RV'ers, it could at least be weather proof but it is NOT. The included instructions even state for it to be used in Dry locations only. Not many RV'ers camping inside. The molding is thin plastic. The screws to re-assemble the plug, screw into the plastic housing making it very easy to strip out. Be warned. Most importantly, my concern is its advertised rating of 30amps which I feel is pushing it. 20amps maybe, but close to 30 the plug heats up noticeably. You can feel how hot it gets. Once I back down the amps it cools off. My other plugs do not get hot at those amps I was pulling.I connected this plug to a 30amp breaker (new) using 10 guage solid copper. For a long term fix, get a better plug. I do NOT recommend it to anybody and would not purchase again.
