So these things lol. I lit because the clear looked milky and the originals were so crystal clear with chrome trim like looks. I figured the smoked ones would look cleaner than their milky ones. These things could very well be black. Looks aside, they're not that bright, and where it really matters is the 3/4 rear view, which is the main purpose of mirror signals. They are barely visible from this angle, while the OEM models are represented by bright intermittent light. I returned them. There may be better ones out there, but they aren't. I think it depends on your expectations. They should be promotions, not demotions.
