A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!
I've been using 4 of these to store and backup my photo library and everything else for over two years now. I connect everything to the laptop through one hub. Looks safe and cheap. Before that, I used DASs for some time, though they were cheap, they were terribly buggy, and with these disks I finally breathed a sigh of relief, since they just work. As a USB hub I do not use it, I can not say anything about it.
- I have 4 of these working at the same time without any complaints. The speed is certainly not SSD, but sufficient, about 160 Mb / s comes out. Noise / vibrations and overheating do not notice.
- if you connect a lot of such disks at once, then Bluetooth mice (such as Magic Mouse) stop working due to interference from cables.
