When I saw the instructions I was a little afraid of the installation, but once you start it's not so bad. The fan is very heavy. It brings a strong wire and I recommend using it to attach it to the beam. The included screw for this wire bent when I inserted it. I had to grab one of my spares from the garage, but by attaching this wire you can hang from the fan without fear of it falling and breaking something. Installing electrical cables is easy. Ground, voltage and neutral to the control module box. The box comes with a large length of cables. It is a pity that the box hardly fits on the fan cover. After measuring what I needed for the joints, I cut the rest of the slack. It was a mission to insert a plastic electrical module into the top cap. Very tight fit. I had to pinch each cable and slowly push down on the cover to secure everything. The base for the fan is solid and once you've secured the wire we talked about you should be fine. The downside for me is the light. The LED is yellow, the color is about 2700K, not bright at all. No problem. I looked it up and they have replacement LED bulbs that can be modified and fitted for about $30 and they give 5000k bright white light. But the cover that covers the LED also reduces the brightness of the light. If the cover had been made of a different material or a lighter color, it might have given off more light. The controller was easy to use. I put the batteries in and it worked right away. He is responsive and fast. This fan spins fast and is very quiet. Doesn't wobble or rattle. You don't even notice that the fan is on. The difference in airflow in this room is striking. I couldn't pair it with the app or Alexa as they claim it can. But I'll try to update the review when I do. Overall a great fan. I just wish the LED was white and a lot brighter. If you don't mind modifying and changing it or you don't mind having yellow lighting then this is perfect for you. However, most of these modern fans have a yellow LED backlight. I do not know why.
