Review on Plantronics 38541 02 Headset Cable by Julia Bhatt

I'm using this Plantronics headset cable with a Plantronics HW251N Wideband Noise Canceling SupraPlus Mono Headset. This headset and cable combo works great with my iPhone 3Gs. It's hard to see the photo, but Quick Disconnect has an answer/end button. The sound quality when making calls is excellent. My conversation partners sound good to me, and all reports say I sound natural with little to no background noise on the other end. This is the best headset I have ever used with my iPhone. This cable isn't particularly long, maybe 13 or 14 inches. Combined with the modest length of the cord on the headset itself, the overall length is adequate, but no more. If you like a long cord, you need a Quick Disconnect extension. Another reviewer suggested that the sound quality left a lot to be desired for music. I can confirm that. However, I believe the limitations of the headset and not this cable are to blame. One final note: I couldn't find the part number for this cable on the Plantronics website. I spoke to their tech support, they couldn't initially find the part number in their database either. However, the helpful lady I spoke to did some research and eventually confirmed that this is a valid part and will work with phones such as iPhones that use a 3.5mm TRRS jack. Update: I still use this cable and headset with an iPhone. 6C. With a previous iPhone I thought the cable had stopped working as I was having connection issues, but in the end the cable was fine. My headphone jack was filled with so much pocket lint that the 3.5mm plug couldn't fit all the way into the port. After I carefully removed the fluff with a paper clip, everything was fine.
