Related device with some defects

This is not a budget range finder. It's not high end either. So from a functional point of view, you get what you pay for: accurate range detection - at least within a few meters. Compared to my field distances (they're flag to flag from the par 3 tee) and my teammates' distances, my NX9 was always a yard or two away. Sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. Since I don't play with a +ve handicap on tour, a few yards of error at 150 yards is neither here nor there. Vibrate when pen is detected - works well after a short delay. Unlike other viewfinders I use, the distance continues 2-3 times per second while the power button is pressed. Sometimes it's good (when you're running on the green), sometimes it's bad (when the distance is longer and it's harder to stay still). Two modes - yards or meters. The mode change button is easy to use. Really too easy. Until I changed the way I hold the device, I kept switching modes. Since most users want to use one or the other and not switch between them, this is annoying. I actually think a little DIP switch in the battery compartment would be a better way to select the mode than a software switch. Magnetic holder - besides the price, the main reason why I bought this viewfinder. Being able to mount the range finder on a golf cart for easy access is fantastic. You don't have to buy a separate (and bulky) case to do the same, even better. A small piece of velcro with the sticky side on the other side and I still had room for my glove too! I only had one problem with the device. After a month of use (2-3 times a week) the switch started to stick. Hard to turn on and hard to turn off. I found that the device would run out of power several times at the beginning of my lap and I couldn't use it if I didn't have a spare battery. For this reason (and only for this reason) I stopped using the device. I can't return it through Revain (after a 1 month return period) but I hope the manufacturer fixes the issue.
