I've always used tempered glass screen protectors so I was surprised that the fingerprint scanner is so weird and there's always a small circle on the screen. It works, but I had to smooth it out with a credit card first because it wasn't sticking to the screen properly, and even after resetting my fingerprints, it still fails more often than tempered glass. I charged it last night too. , and now the little flap protecting the charging port is stuck in the open position. It doesn't stay stuck. The case was cheap enough and strong enough that I felt like I'd leave it anyway and just cut off the little flap. The case is great, although the bloom of the flowers matches my Kindle and tablet. And it feels pretty solid. I was planning on adding a tempered glass screen protector as well because I'm superfluous, but it didn't fit over the case due to the raised edges. I don't have to because the case feels great anyway. Update: I cut off the flap for the charging port and put a protective film on the phone before putting this case on. Now everything is perfect. No blisters etc. The fingerprint reader works great too.
