So my 72 gallon front tank was suffering from cyanobacteria contamination. It seemed that my aquarium was covered with a thick layer of slime during the night. It covered my live plants, filter necks, rock and substrate. I've been trying to remove it manually and with a water change for several days but to no avail. Turning off the lights with the blinds closed didn't help either. I was willing to completely drain the tank and hand wash everything until my friend recommended it. When I bought it, I was skeptical to say the least. However, I followed the package directions and within a week the cyanobacteria turned brown and died! I was horrified to see if this product would harm my plants or aquatic life. It did not affect any of my plants, bamboo shrimp, otocinclus, neon tetras and harlequin tetras! If you suffer from cyanobacteria (blue-green algae), you NEED this product! Just be sure to remove any dead bits of cyanobacteria after they all start to decay, as putrefaction can affect the water quality for your fish.
