Make sure you understand the requirements for this switch and its purpose before spending any money. If you have a fairly new home (built in the last 20 years) with a neutral wire and separate wall switches for the fan and the light that is part of the fan, then this switch should be fine. But this switch only controls the fan itself. If you want to control the light in the same way, you need a separate smart light switch. This switch does not control both functions. As long as you understand what you're getting, this switch works very well. But if you have an old house with no neutral input, or want one switch to control both the fan and light, you need to look at other products.
