As long as they work... best in Anti-Theft

Bought a while ago and finally got around to cutting and programming it when I lost my only spare key. Dealers told me they were junk and wouldn't work, two locksmiths said they wouldn't guarantee them. Finally found a locksmith who said they would try it and see if it worked. If not, there were others in his van. Turns out he cut them both and they work fine. He said they are programmed as they should and seem to have a decent range for non-real keys. Dealers will say only they can cut the keys, but a good locksmith will know where the vehicle code is and will cut the keys based on that number. On my Honda Pilot, the code is hidden on the toggle switch in the glove box lock. He cut new keys in his van at my house and added them to the car with a device connected to the OBD port. The cost is about what the dealer would charge but I didn't have to tow and the dealer didn't get anything. Money. I'll update this review in a few months anyway.
