I put off buying one of these Ice Tower coolers for two reasons: 1) I hate the colored LED fan. I generally view PC color lighting as a cancer. If you like it, I'm not saying you're wrong, but I don't think we can be friends. What was my surprise when I opened the box and there was both a LED fan and a non-LED fan. Win! It should actually be listed as a feature in the product description. 2) I wanted some kind of cover. Most ice towers on the market assume you will be using the rPi as a bare circuit board and I just don't roll around like that. Now I'd rather have a bespoke detail than just that kind of laser cut acrylic but whatever. Because there are no assembly instructions, I have to dock it with a point. There are instructions for mounting an ice tower on a bare Pi and instructions for mounting a Pi in an acrylic case with no cooler, but you can mix it all together yourself. Here are some instructions to help you: 1) Remove the colored LED fan from the ice tower. Attach a fan to the rocket and then launch the rocket into falling orbit around the sun. Save the screws. 2) Remove the mounting brackets, two 2.5mm screws and a thermal pad from the parts bag. You will not use the remaining parts. Also, let them run in the sun. 3) Attach the mounting brackets to the bottom of the heatsink as shown in the pictures. Attach the thermal pad to the Pi processor. Don't forget to remove the plastic! 4) Lay the body on the table. Remove the 4 thumbscrews and remove the first three layers of the case. The bottom two layers should remain with the four screw pins sticking out. 5) Put on the Pi, the next two layers of case, then the heatsink and finally the top layer of case. 6) Reinstall the thumbscrews. . Tighten with your fingers only! Finally, attach the fan without LED to the heatsink. Please.
