Was pleasantly surprised to find that the tree came packaged in a long narrow box (approx 4"x4"x20"), making it convenient to store with a small footprint. The tree comes with instructions, but I didn't need it. Setup took 5 minutes, put the batteries into the footing of one of the planks, take the protective cap off screw at the base of the tree, insert/screw the tree into the two crossed planks, spread out the branches as desired (ie, curve the longest limb into an arc), hang the ornament, wrap the tree with the felt cloth/blanket, press the button on the top plank for the Peanuts song! The only thing that might have made it better is if it had a simple/short set of lights (although this is technically not in the original Charlie Brown Christmas show). Otherwise the tree is in the dark with the lights off. Other than that, it's a great little tree that is true to A Charlie Brown Christmas.
