Gloss; weak fixation

the smell is unobtrusive and dissipates quickly, so there are no complaints in this regard. However, I have a problem with the degree of gloss and the degree of hold. It's advertised as having a "matte" finish which means no shine, but after using it my hair looks very smooth and shiny and has this fake metrosexual look that I really don't like. The level of shine will depend on both how much product you use and how wet your hair is when you apply the product - the more product you use and the wetter your hair is, the shinier it will look. Of course, I try to only apply the product to dry hair, but it's not enough to significantly reduce shine due to the amount of product I have to use, which leads to my second complaint. stick to me To make sense, I need to apply enough to achieve a super shiny, oily look. Still, the hold isn't nearly strong enough, and I have to constantly run my hands through my hair to push it back into place. Unfortunately, while there is some flexibility in reshaping hair this way, the constant manipulation reduces the level of hold to the point that I end the day with my hair almost looking like I didn't use the product at all. I don't like the waxy feel of my hair after using this stuff, but that's a minor issue. I'm definitely not impressed. I suppose eventually I'll use up this wax can and use it sparingly on the days I still wear a hat most of the time, but I don't think I'll buy it again unless I really can. I can't find anything better (it's the first hair product I've ever used).
