I bought these for light gardening and I like them much better than the Classic Croc for that application. The outsole is more durable and deeper than the Classic, and the tread channels are very wide so dirt is easily washed out of them. As with the Classic Croc, some dirt and gravel will inevitably get through the ventilation openings, but these can be easily shaken out. Aside from the outsole, the other big difference between them and the Classic Croc is the ankle strap. The Classic strap is quite wide and rounded, making it very easy to place on the heel. The Offroad Sport has a much narrower strap because they are adjustable with Velcro (Velcro for example, but it's actually a brand name so I don't know if that brand is actually used here). However, this causes it to fold under the heel when you put your foot in, meaning you either have to spend a few seconds moving your foot to get it back into place or reach down need to do this. That. It's okay, most sandals are like that, but I'll admit I was a bit spoiled that I didn't have to do that with the Classic Croc.
