Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Mateusz Jankowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

So. Skoda Fabia car of the first generation. dimension 175/70/14. should have been 175/65 or 165/70. but in favor of the clearance, I purchased exactly 175/70/14. because in size 165/70/14 there is nothing at all. but if it was in size 165/70/14 goodyear, it would be just a bomb! The car was changed to brand new goodyears in early November. the tires were flat, balanced perfectly with small loads. first there was a run-in of 250-300 km did not exceed 60 km / h. Wildly buzzed. walked 300 km in 2 days. run in. started to calm down. the car is used to teach people how to drive after a driving school, and at the course of countermeasures. the whole of November, the car ironed the circuit. exercise snake, figure eight, reverse snake and so on. all this was on rather abrasive asphalt under the control of students who do not always know how to drive well. that is, there were braking in the skid, and a start from a place with axle boxes (random of course). for all this time and for November the car has passed 2022 km. lost only one spike from the front right wheel. (rather due to the fact that any person always passes left turns faster than right turns). Now there is snow and ice. I tested the rubber on a snowy race track myself (instructor) at the start with slippage on ice, it leaves no living space on the contact patch. rips out all the ice with wide spikes. I covered 16 pieces of spikes from spikes. or 18. in general, a lot. due to the wider stud core for improved braking, the wheel lock moment is perfectly felt, that is, it is very convenient for intermittent or stepped braking. braking and starting on ice is beyond praise! The snow is passing with a bang. moreover, when the car is already trying to climb onto the belly, the main thing is to dig in and stop in time, boldly, without delay, turn on the back and go back with a slight slip. Great! stability on pavement at 4, lateral stability under gas discharge in slush at 4+, but if you set the direction and give gas, then 5+. Good luck! and tires are GREAT!

Pros
  • Price-quality ratio. Ice braking. Start in snow and slush. It goes well in reverse if it can no longer drag the car forward. (The main thing is to be bolder with gas). Takes water out great. Very interesting spikes. The workmanship is excellent. Beautiful))))
Cons
  • Noise when running. slightly specific lateral stability in slush for gas release. Notice not bad but specific, it takes getting used to in general.
