I recently rescued a litter of street kittens. I kept them in my bathroom for the first two weeks while we got rid of fleas, worms and diarrhea and looked for contagious substances that they could infect my adult cats with. But that made it very difficult for me to use my bathroom for showers and such, so I bought this playpen (52 x 52 x 32 inches) to install in my bedroom instead. Litter box, scratching post/hammock, scratching post and 3 bowls for food/water and there is still space for the kittens to lie down. Cats in another room. I probably wouldn't want to confine kittens in that playpen for weeks, but it's perfectly normal for them to split up to play in a larger space and it frees me from myself. I cover the playpen so i cover the playpen at night stays dark until i'm ready to wake up and i'm concerned that my adult cats will think it will take their weight and jump on it but hopefully not. I like that the floor of the playpen can be removed because it's a lot easier to clean. Doors on both sides so I can easily pick up the litter box. And I love that once I find a home for these kittens, he breaks down and hides in the closet, so I don't have a permanent kennel in my small apartment.
