works exactly for what i needed. Luckily my bathroom is fully tiled and the tiled walls are very easy to hang. I don't think I would recommend this for standard drywall as it requires a non-porous surface to glue to without damage. When installing just twist the round part a bit, be careful not to unscrew the center pole like I did and it all fell apart and I had to put it back together! Not the fault of the product and it worked fine after that. I would say the ring is a standard size and it's nice that the ring swings either way when needed. I would have preferred the suction on the back to be white or clear so it would be less noticeable on my white tiles but it doesn't matter.
