Nice looks, poor functionality

I give this line 3 stars. First, let me tell you why I chose this series: 1) This is one of the few series that fits my measurements of 36 inches wide and no more than 8 inches tall. I didn't want this European look to be very big. 2) It is stainless steel suitable for kitchen appliances. 3) It's under $100 to stay within my budget. Installation was easy. The device itself is surprisingly light (almost feels cheap). Only 4 screws were required for assembly. The hardest part was adding the adapter. My vent was 7" and it came with a 4" duct adapter. So I had to lose weight from 7 to 6, then from 6 to 5, and then from 5 to 4. Overall, it fits very well. Now my problems are with the fan. The fan itself doesn't suck the air very well. It's a pretty weak fan compared to the standard fan that was in my 15 year old house. The lights are at the back and they are white LEDs. I replaced the bulbs with warmer bulbs and it made a big difference. However, for the main function of removing odor and sucking air, this fan needs to be heavily charged. The width is exactly 35.2 inches as advertised. So there will be a gap at your closet doors. I knew about it before I bought it but it doesn't look that bad with gaps. Will be updated after a few months of use. I will test for bacon and garlic and will come back with some tests.
