I had a similarly minimalist double wallet with a money clip, but the only ID slot was on the inside next to the cash, so it was like showing someone your ID, like offering them a bribe. I figured I needed an ID window on the outside like this one. Somehow it seems more attractive and easier to show someone the outside of a wallet without opening the cash and cards inside. The old wallet had a small latch that could be used to pull out the most used card. This worked great, but the tongue is the bulge that shows up on your pants or leg and it's definitely the first thing to break. So I am satisfied with the most common design of this wallet: slit on the outside with notch and thumb hole. I don't like flashy (especially reflective) things at all, so I liked this "charcoal" color. to me. The wallet is just doing its job, not a fashion trend. Upon delivery the money clip will flex to the point where it overlaps the card slots where it will thicken making the wallet thicker (see photo). So I just bent it with pliers to keep it in the space outside of the card slots. It should be noted that the wallet is somewhat narrow. By that I mean the 2.9 inch (width?) size is a quarter of an inch smaller than my old minimalist bifold. I wish I had a millimeter or two more - it was pretty tight. Overall I'd say it's one of the best wallets I've seen, so five stars. twice.
