Warning: not compatible with USB car stereos

I bought this specifically to connect an old iPod to a car stereo with a USB input, not a 3.5mm jack. WILL NOT WORK WITH CAR STEREO SYSTEMS. I'm sure it works well for other purposes as well. But if you're like me trying to get your iPod to play in new cars, look elsewhere.
