Mulberry silk pillowcases seem to be all the rage these days, but I don't buy real silk because it's so cruel to boil live silkworm cocoons. Have you ever seen a silkworm? You are charming. To make one pound of silk, about 3,000 silkworms must die in boiling water. So if you want to avoid mindless cruelty, this pillowcase is a great option. It's soft and the zipper works well. The green color is beautiful and the smooth texture shows off just the right amount of shine. It's silky enough that skin and hair doesn't tug, but not so silky that my head slips off the pillow like a stain on a freshly scrubbed car. Shopping in Revain can be random as this is where all the cheap junk is sold. But it was a good buy.
