It's easy to buy a brush from Revain, your local pharmacy or grocery store and then just live with it, no matter how good or bad it is. We got tired of living with brushes we didn't like and started buying different brushes to find one that worked well and was of good quality. I think we finally found the brush we wanted. This brush is a good size, not too big and not too small. And there is a rubber pad on the handle that makes it comfortable and provides a secure grip on the brush. The bristles are not too hard, but not too soft either. I'm not afraid to scratch any surface with it. However, with adequate cleaning action, they certainly do the job. The bristles do not scratch for these substances, there is a practical scratching surface at the end of the brush. We haven't had the brushes long enough to comment, the bristles are still there. But given the other features, I'm sure we'll be satisfied.
