So-so I wanted to give this set five stars. I was expecting after reading other great reviews. Unfortunately, beard grooming essentials turned out to be cheap products laced with chemicals. None of the balms, oils or anti-thermal sprays smelled natural. The shampoo and conditioner smelled of chemicals and smelled the same as the complimentary soap you get at a hotel at night. Let's start with the fact that something in the shampoo and conditioner gave me crazy allergies. I had to reshape my face and beard to calm my nose. My eyes were itchy and my nose was running like Niagara Falls for a few more hours. The beard balm and oil were so bad my face itched and my nose and eyes didn't rest for 24 hours. No allergy medication has been able to tame allergy in food. As far as toiletries are concerned, of course nothing helped. My beard got dehydrated and felt super straw. My wife never really complains about the prickly feeling in her beard when I use my regular products, but is that included in this kit? Yes, she immediately noticed the difference. The beard straightener, scissors, comb and brush are definitely the best part of this whole set. you are so cute I never thought that a beard straightener would become a regular part of my daily life, but now it is. It's such a nice luxury and it really helps tame a fuller beard. This makes it easier to trim random hair. Overall, I recommend Duke Cannon products. Of course they are more expensive but my goodness they work and make you feel so good and clean afterwards. The idea of this set was good, but I suggest abandoning the book and the bending tools and throwing away the junk of balms, oils and shampoos. Complete garbage not worth swimming in.
