had an analogue on the frame that served more than 30 years. I replaced 2 beds with original brackets that were bent and cracked and in dire need of replacement. They were similar but 1 inch longer. Smaller ones could not be found. Looks solid and holds up that way. Installation wasn't too difficult, I used the same lines as the original (drilled and new screws installed) with size 8 heads (screws were not included as you get a length to suit your boards). After installation, the bed seemed stable. Time will tell, but so far so good.
