I'm not sure why anyone would buy a pressure cooker from any company other than Presto. Seriously, how many companies here in the States have a support phone number that will happily help you identify your stove and part number, whether you're buying from them or Revain? It took about 10 minutes after opening the box to install the new ring and vent. In the evening I used the stove, everything worked perfectly. I've had this pot for 30 years now and I expect to be passed on to my great grandchildren. Thank you Presto! As some people have pointed out, use a little cooking spray and then insert the ring into the gasket groove from 4 different points at the same time (12 - 3 - 6 and 9 o'clock), each a little after the other point. Although it may seem a little big for the stem, be patient and then squeeze the last of the slack into the rim and the job is done. After cleaning, I simply take some cooking oil on my fingertip and rub it around the seal before removing the pan. Don't cover the pot with a storage lid—leave it open. Thanks to this simple maintenance, the first liner has served for 30 years.
