As a student pilot, this headset has really helped me improve my overall progress! And here's why: 1. Reduces fatigue and stress, I couldn't enjoy long weeks of training (6 flights a week) with my cheap ASA headset as I felt "full/ache" from the constant noise and pinching force on my head in the head" felt. 2. Since English is not a native language in the USA, radio messages in my training area and at my training airport are sometimes difficult to understand (Southern accent and American English in general). I had to turn the volume up to ear-damaging levels to keep from missing calls. But now I can easily record and understand ATC calls at acceptable or safe audio levels. This improved my overall situational awareness to a level where my CFI was very confident in sending me into a solo without causing traffic chaos; D3. Relax! as a glider pilot, i'm used to flying up and enjoying the flight in silence. BOSE helps you find that pleasure as your inner instinct doesn't go into nervous alert mode as the constant noise level is reduced! !You can focus on the more important part of AVIATE and NAVIGATE! I'm not saying it will make you a better pilot, but your training will improve significantly! However, the NC level can reduce the motor noise to a level where you should regularly check the motor sensors in the control currents, because you can't hear anything. Engine "talks to you" and "points to problems"
