Came scratch free, nice durable plastic. The loop works fine. Fits in the narrow space between the sink and the wall in the bathroom. An easy way to keep cream/oil bottles and tubes or other bathroom countertop items out of the dusty air of this windy region. Just wipe the top of the box from time to time. It is easy to see which item you will choose. The taller height (makeup storage units are usually a few inches shorter) accommodates my taller bottles. In our bathroom, the more common long side hinge would be blocked by a small towel hanging on the wall next to the sink. Opening this box with a loop on the narrow end was perfect. Makes opening easier. The only change I might have preferred is a few inches shorter length. But a little more space is better than too little.
