I ordered this to get my power strip off the floor and all the power cables coming from it. This works great for a desk that has at least 5x15 inches of available space underneath the worksurface. Make sure you take into account where your legs will be positioned.There are two metal cages in the package. I used one on my desk in my office at work, and the other on a desk in my home office. Each cage has holes in the top that allows it to be secured to the desk with provided wood screws. There is also some double-sided tape to hold the cage in place while you use the screws to secure it.You also receive some velcro cable ties and some cable clips.This isn't difficult to add to a desk, but you will likely have to get on the floor. I recommend pre-drilling the holes for the screws to make it easier to screw them into the wood. If you have a metal desk, you will have to find some screws suitable for metal.
