I really liked the color of the flames. But they began to fade after a couple of days (every night they turned on the timer for 4 hours). Batteries were dead after a week. I thought the batteries might be old (depending on how long they might have been stored). Bought 12 new batteries. Again they died within 2 weeks. They look great for the first few nights but if you don't want to spend a fortune on 3v batteries I recommend a different brand. I used to have tea lights (which didn't have a timer function) and they lasted me all winter on one battery. I would rather turn them on and off individually every night than changing 12 batteries every 14 days! (And you should know that I even bought another set with the same 12 tea lights, which gave you reason to doubt that it was just a faulty set. I had the same results with the second pack I ordered! ).
