This tool helped me a lot when changing the camshaft seals when changing the timing belt. I think your technique comes into play when you use it for the best results. I have found that placing the pivot as close to the end of the hook as possible provides maximum seal tension BECAUSE you are also rotating the handle to keep the hook engaged with the seal wall. My cats came out on one try each! The hook did not bend at all, even though the seals were very hard. Not even scratched the metal! The kit also includes an additional hook. Very handy tool, glad I tried it although some people find it useless.
