The cooling functions worked quite well. But after just a month, the buttons don't work, the battery doesn't hold a charge. What a waste. But it's unreliable, which you can't do in 100+ degree weather. The item has been returned. UPDATE - My understanding is that not only does it need to be charged, it also needs to be off to charge the battery. Then it works, although sometimes the highlighted controls are still confused. Too bad the manual doesn't mention the problem with the battery. But the cooling mostly works at this point and it's hot so I'd rather forgo it than bring it back.
