Review on Arkon Bike Motorcycle Handlebar Mount Holder for iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S3, LG, Motorola, HTC by Matthew Perez

Worked great on my bike.

I wanted my bike to take it on a Labor Day weekend ride. I researched several brands and settled on this one because of the elastic strap. I've read too many stories about phones falling off bikes. Well, if the phone falls off my motorcycle, it's unlikely to survive if I ever find it again. It was very easy to mount it on the steering wheel. I installed it so it faces to the right where the handlebars go through the fork mount. I'm not sure if I can adjust the phone angle properly if I mount it on one of the handlebar corner pieces. There is enough play in the pivot, but I doubt there will be enough on my bike. The spring-loaded handle is fairly secure without the strap, but the strap provides added security. In fact, I once rode a few miles without a seatbelt because I forgot to put it on. It held the phone perfectly in place. When I first installed it, I felt the ball's rotation was too weak to be held in place while driving. It was NOT like that. The device never moved on the road unless I rotated it by hand, which was very easy. If we stopped for a while, I would simply remove the phone holder and place it in my bike's locked storage compartment. Just. The only issue I had was that the position of the mount caused my phone to hit the cruise control console I had on top of the fake gas tank when making a STRONG left turn or when stopping and spinning the front wheel all the way. to the left to lock it. After the charging cable added an inch in my phone, the cable scratched the Cruise unit. I partially solved this problem by rotating the device 180 degrees so the spring arms are up. The disadvantage of this is that the device is fixed in the normal down position on the swivel stand. This resulted in a "lock" up. However, I had no trouble releasing the block despite being in this position and I rode some bumpy roads. I'll also try placing short arms on the bottom and long arms on top to see how it works. crossing the middle of my phone's screen. I was able to move them apart a bit and see the center of the screen better. They also prevent me from entering a 4 digit passcode on my iPhone to unlock the home screen. But again I was able to find a position that worked well. I really wish the strap was there, although I was 75% sure the spring grip would hold the phone in place. My phone is 3 weeks old so I really didn't want to watch it fall down the street, even into an otter box. I can only recommend it for motorcycles. In fact, I have already recommended it to my son.
