They're pretty hard to find. I have never seen them in a store in 100w. They come in handy for me as I have several applications where I use the lamp without a shade, when installing over a mirror or with short lampshades where the bulb is sticking out from above. I HATE a naked lightbulb burning in my eyeballs! This solves the problem. They work well with the dimmers I use in almost all of my lamps and lighting fixtures. 1 star deducted because they are expensive at $5 each even if you buy 6 at a time. But they don't seem to last any less than conventional incandescent bulbs of the same wattage. Many "special" lamps don't.
