I wear size 7 women's shoes and bought sm/med Big Easy Socks that fit size 7.5 shoes. The socks before fitting were smaller than my foot. Because they were loosely woven, they used to stretch to fit, but this then stretched the fibers, making the socks thinner and not as warm. When stretched they are so thin I don't think they will last long; I can see my skin through my toe area. These are definitely not warm, thick socks to wear around the house. They tend to slip a bit on the foot even when stretched, which puts me off going up a size that can slip even more. The fabric doesn't feel or react like wool and while I have no reason to believe 40% fiber is anything else, you might be disappointed if you're expecting wool's traditional thickness, warmth and density. On the plus side, they're definitely comfortable and non-binding. terrible socks but I paid for mine $21 and I think $13 is too much. Pretty good sock for $8. Update: I just received another Sockwell sock. Sockwell Women's Plush Denim Socks Small/Medium and it was exactly what I expected; 5*, thicker, warmer, tighter, doesn't stretch in size, not that loose (but that's very important to me), but not tight at all.
