Surprised by good reviews. This antenna performed worse than the 220MHz antenna that came with the BTECH UV-5X3. There were a few 220 repeaters that I couldn't use with this antenna that could be used with a standard 220 antenna. Another interesting thing is that most of my portable radios generate RFI on my computer's speakers. The UV-5X3 does not generate RF interference with this antenna, but with a standard antenna. I know it's not very scientific, but it seems to me that the RF power is lower with this antenna. This antenna looks suspiciously like the Nagoya NA-701 dual band antenna: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0132JRJQ8/ but without the Nagoya branding. On the other two bands it works fine, but on 220 it works much worse compared to the standard antenna. On 220 this antenna performs just as badly as a standard 144/450 dual band antenna.
