Although carbide tips should last longer than steel.

Although carbide cutting edges should last longer than steel, the smoothness of the cut was disappointing. The sidewalls weren't nearly as smooth as those made from chunks of steel. It could just be that bit - possibly a bad floor. I will not buy more to find out.
