I bought a new one to replace the one I got in 2004 which was completely worn out. The first one took such high quality photos and videos that I decided to buy another one. Also, I already had all the accessories for the first camera and would have to buy everything new if I had a different camera. But the main reason for buying another Canon PowerShot SD30 was the ease of use and the wonderfully crisp, vibrant color images it produced. It has also withstood the hard use well. I have friends with much more expensive cameras who have said that my PowerShot SD30 took much better quality pictures than their cameras. I use many of my images to create custom PowerPoint presentations and graphic displays, and the quality of the photos I get with this little workhorse really helps me create amazingly vibrant, top-notch projects.
