I wanted a desk with a lower profile, plus I was tired of adjusting the monitors up and down for different numbers of books depending on what I'm doing. My gaming PC sits higher on the shelf so I had all the wall space between my desk and it. I was able to assemble it myself and he fixed it on the wall for me. Don't use the cable controls too often as it's a bit awkward, but I'm constantly moving my monitors depending on whether I'm playing a game with a mouse and keyboard, playing something with a controller, general surfing, watching a movie, or coding. They easily move into position and stay where they are. Once we turn the kids room into an office my husband said he plans to do the same for himself because they are so petite. Best of all: no more neck pain!
