I've been using desktop water filters for over 25 years. This is a good replacement filter. It filters down to 0.5 microns but still offers good flow compared to others I've used. I bought a countertop body and filter from this company and was very satisfied. Complete set at the highest level, no problems. Haven't changed the filter in 2 years. Why? It worked very well for a long time and I didn't think about it. I think it works for a year, not six months, but after that you should change it. The case had to be disinfected and cleaned inside, otherwise it is like new. Then I put in a new cartridge. Ah, wonderful water tastes again. I use a table water filter because I'm picky about the taste of tap water. We have good city water where I live, but it's not good enough. This will eliminate any remaining negative taste. This filter does its job very well. My water tastes perfect and I'm happy. Made in the USA, how often do you see it? I will continue to buy this filter as long as this company makes them. By the way, I advise you to go to their website. I could save a few bucks, but come on, I'll be back at it in six months. I won't wait that long this time.
