Review on 🍷 Repour Wine Saver (4-Pack) - Wine Preserver and Stopper - Eliminates Oxygen, Maintaining Freshness of Wine by Laura Mariana

Not for consumers. ONE TIME USE - not stable, interacts with wine

First, they add a metallic character to wine. Second, they're not sustainable - they say they recycle packs of 72 or something for you, good luck tracking for three months or at the bar. They're apparently meant for restaurants and bars, but IMO they're not intended for home use and I don't see any bars paying that much to keep $20 bottles of wine "fresh". I had a bottle of Croatina grapes from Piedmont. , I wanted it by day two, it was spoiled to compete with the undrinkable "oxygen" nature of these not-at-all-sluggish toppers. The seal has to be removed (see photo) and the cork only fits a 750ml bottle, probably only makes sense up to a 1500ml distance. Every time I've tasted this (3) the wine wasn't preserved, it was altered, the smell was always in an unacceptable chemical way. This makes them very uneconomical and an environmental disaster. Definitely NOT recommended for 50 year old wine lovers. Use a pump, 5-in-1 cork, Coravin if you really need it, or just a cork.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and shelf life from testers
Cons
  • Not for everyone
