It works very well for me. First off, not much product comes out of the tube - about an inch and a half - to create a light lather, enough to lubricate your face and neck, enough for a close shave. When I need another pass, I run my wet hand over the area and that provides just enough lubrication to complete the shave to my satisfaction. While it provides extra lubrication, it also rinses out fairly easily when I'm done. It's amazing how many shaves you can get from this small tube, which makes it perfect for travel.
